                                                         Ravishing Red Velvet Cake




Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 Tablespoons cocoa

1/4 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 whole egg
1/2 cup butter
1 cups buttermilk
1/4 Tablespoon lemon juice 
1 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 oz Beet juice or you can add red food color 

Method:

step 1:
preheat oven 350 ° F
Grease and flour the cake pan
food color or Beet juice

Step 2:

 In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar by hand or with a mixer at medium speed until fluffy then add oil and beat, add egg beat.

   
Step 3:
    
switch your mixer speed to low and add color and add the dry ingredients(flour, cocoa powder, salt). alternate mixing flour with adding buttermilk,vanilla extract.mix the ingredients until all the batter combine well, but do not over beat

step 4:

small bowl,stir the baking soda into the vinegar and then fold it into batter with a spoon

step  5:

pour the batter evenly between the cake pan and bake until a toothpick comes out clean


 Bake about 40 minutes. let the cake cool for 10 minutes, then invert the layers onto a rack to cool completely.







Bake at  350 ° F  for about 30 minutes for metal pan, 325 F for dark pan for about 25 minutes
