RAVA KESARI // sooji //samolina



Ingredients


1 cup of wheat (rava/ semolina)

1 -  cups Sugar

3-4 tbsp Clarified Butter (Ghee)

3-4 Almonds (de-skinned and crushed)

8-10 Golden Raisins (kismis)

1 tsp Orange food color (kesari)//saffron

2 cups water



 Add Rava in a wok with a thick bottom,Dry roast rava for 3 mints  till it get very light brown





change into blow let them cool down


In same pan  add Ghee


Once Ghee started melting add our dry fruits & Nuts



Once the raisins become plump, turn off the heat &  change into another Bowl



                                                                  Same wok add water


Once water starting boil and Sugar into this


Add saffron r food color




Let them boil very well


Add the Rava slowly,constantly stirring and mix well,allow rava to be cooked at medium heat ,keep lid on and cook  



When it fully cooked ,Add Ghee and fried nuts and keep stirring rava starts leaving the sides of the pan




 Tip
         “Kesari wouldn’t be Kesari if there is no ghee”.But this recipe doesn’t have as much ghee and still tastes good!! serve Warm!!
